OCNJ: The Boardwalk!

Tuesday night the fabulous time came....THE BOARDWALK! Last year Andrew wasn't tall enough to go on the kiddie roller coaster. This year we measured him and WITH his shoes on he is EXACTLY 36 inches- just perfect for the roller coaster! Whew! 36 inches is a big milestone- because it also means he could go on the real kiddie rides by himself, with his sister and we didn't need to spend our tickets riding the kiddie hot air balloons! Happy happy day!

We had our first slice of Mack n Manco's pizza which is AWESOME and we were ready to ride ride ride.

The one thing we don't have any pictures of is when Emma and Andrew rode the helicopter together. There was one "driver stick" between the two seats and Andrew wasn't very interested in sharing the stick so the first couple times they came around Emma was just screaming her head off about it. The third time they came around Emma was looking content with her hand on the stick and Andrew was crying....Emma clocked him one. Luckily by the time the ride was over they were both happy. We're not big fans of solving your problems by hitting, but they seemed to work it out on their own so we let it be. Crazy kids.

I got to take my annual log flume ride with Maddie- we've been doing this since she was 5 so it's a lot of fun!

I have to make her hold her hands up....but it's really a lot of fun! Who doesn't love a good ride on the log flume?

The picture from the computer on the roller coaster- love it!

Think he's excited to be riding the roller coaster?

Andrew's picture from the roller coaster computer! Love it!

Emma likes to hold her hands up and scream on the roller coaster! She's a hoot!

Andrew's first ride on the roller coaster- he was so excited and so brave! He held his hands up and screamed!

This is obviously a pretty bad picture all around- and Emma's not even looking but this is the picture we've got of her first ride on the BIG swings. I thought sitting next to my 4 year old made it horrifying but she loved every second of it. You needed to be 38 inches to ride so Andrew just missed this one....this is his goal for next year.

This face is priceless!

Your kids are braver than mine for sure. Mine may try out the roller coasters but they hate every minute of it! Cute pics!
