Overheard

A couple of great one liners heard in our house yesterday. I love these kids!

Andrew got himself a drink of water and when he put the half full cup on the counter it tipped over and all the water started spilling down the front of the drawers. I watched him watch the water and was going to get a rag to wipe it up. Andrew stared at the dripping water and said "Galloping gumdrops! It's like rain!"

Galloping gumdrops?!?! Where do they get this stuff?

Andrew was trying to take something his sister was playing with. This happens about 40 times a day. Emma was holding the object high up in the air where he couldn't reach it and said "No, Andrew! Mom! Andrew's not keeping the commandments! Andrew, Thou Shalt not steal!"

Hilarious!

Yesterday we met our friends at Chuck E. Cheeses for a morning of fun. The kids did have a ton of fun! Ahh, the quest for the $20 plastic prize. Emma ended up with a little plastic necklace and Andrew with a funny nerf ball thing with a tail. Emma described her necklace as "positively pink and perfectly perfect." The best part was that the place was REALLY loud and there was lots of stimuli everywhere (even my senses were feeling little overloaded). Emma did GREAT. Usually when places get loud and overwhelming she covers her ears and the fun is over. But, this time she partied til the end. At the end of our fun Chuck E. came out with his boom box and did some dancing- and the kids just danced along with him. They thought it was awesome!

You can see both the kids prizes- and Emma is dancing along with all the other kids and Chuck E. She gave him a nice big high 5 after the dancing was over. Disney world might be in our future now that big characters aren't scary anymore!
