I know some of you out there still check my blog.....and to you all- I apologize if you will be disappointed with my announcement- but this is the last post.
We have bought our first house- in the country- and we do not have unlimited Internet usage anymore. It is odd to say the least.
One of the things I've decided to let go is using my Internet to blog.
I will still journal for my family- but I won't be uploading them to Blogger.
I have loved being here- and loved sharing our adventures- but until cable Internet arrives on Fentress Airfield Road- the Greenstreet family blog is out.
Love,
Brooke

New Game
Andrew got a chess game for his 6th birthday. When he opened it he was visibly confused and said "chess? Who would give a 6 year old Chess?" We got it on video. It's a real gem.
Well, Daddy quickly taught him and he is now a regular chess player!
He's gathered up all the Mario chess pieces and we've played games with them as well.
I quickly learned so I could play with him and he has beaten me quite a few times.
In the fall he will be in Chess Club at Grace Academy.
He is awesome and I love him!
2!
Scotty turned 2!
I know, I can't believe it either!
He turned 2 on Saturday and we watched conference most of the day.
We also got Jack the puppy on his birthday!
Aunt Hillary worked all day so we celebrated on Sunday.
He didn't mind.
Here's a little poem I wrote for my now 2 year old boy.
You've grown so fast from new to two.
I was sure you'd go slower
But you've got so much to do.
There are black beans to eat and messes to make.
You never look twice. You've run into a lake.
I save your life at least once a week.
Being your Mom's a big job, one that I'd like to keep!
So please don't run in the road, and stop when I call.
Don't fall down the steps or hold forks when you fall.
Don't eat any marbles, don't fall into glass.
Don't lick any grocery carts or eat bugs from the grass.
So bring me your stories. I'll snuggle you tight.
I'll hug you then miss you when turn out your light.
You say "night night, Mama" when it's time that I go.
I know that you must- but I just hate seeing you grow.
So please Scotty boy- stay just like you are:
Curious, strong, and keep raising the bar.
Sweet Scotty I love you- so much more every day.
Thank you for smiling and coming to stay.
His very own Buzz Lightyear from Aunt HIllary. Luckiest boy!
What? This wasn't part of the gift?
MOST of his gifts were books. This boy LOVES his books! (He is also a technology junkie.....but we're tying to encourage one over the other).
More books!
Puzzles!
Love my baby boy!
We all thought his robot puzzle was CUTE!
Happy Birthday sweet Scotty!
A New Kid in Town
Well we've really gone and done it now.
This little guy was with his brothers and sisters at the SPCA.
Mike's childhood dream dog was a Beagle.
We went.
We looked.
He saw us.....broke away from his brothers and sisters and came to see us.
That was it.
His name is Jack- like Laura's dog from Little House on the Prairie (which we are currently reading).
About half the time I'm wondering "what in the world have we done?"
The other half the time I think we're crazy but he is sweet and cute and I'm glad Mike gets his dog and my kids get one too. There are lots of things kids can learn by having a pet.....I hope.
Spring Break
Even though we're homeschoolers- we take Spring Break! We headed to Charleston to visit cousins and Mike and I were AS excited as the kids to get away- maybe even more! Leading up to Spring Break we each had the CRAZIEST week. So crazy- driving in the car with a just about 2 year old for 8 hours and leaving the house with three kids by 5 a.m. sounded like a vacation. THAT'S crazy.
The drive TO Charleston was uneventful. Kids slept for a couple of hours, we stopped at Craker Barrel for breakfast (or crackel barrel if you're Andrew). Kids read, watched a movie, played ds, and asked where we were about 200 times. They saw their cousins and picked up where they left off a month ago. It was lovely to see. We had Easter the next day and Aunt Petra spoiled the kids rotten. There was about 12 pounds of candy to be found in the house and I have to say my kids were TERRIBLE candy finders. We left with almost NO chocolate. They need candy finding boot camp!
Kids and Grandma on Easter.
"old" cousins Isabelle and Evan
Kids and Grandpa
Brother and Sister
Skylanders for Easter?!? SCORE
We took a trip to Chuck E. Cheese to add some culture and class to our trip.
We went to a really cool park under a bridge. It was pretty breezy and lovely. Scott was pretty tired by this point in the day but we kept playing. Poor third child.
Scary!
Isabelle helping Scotty over this spider web thing at the park . She is just so sweet to Scotty. Scott says her name too although when he says it is "Dim-bell."
It's so great to have cousins!
It was a serious treat to have some family time! No work! No papers due! No mountain of laundry or pile of papers . It was a needed break from this awesome crazy life we have!
Totally awkward family photo....hilarious.
One more playground before we go!
LOVE this picture- what sweet little faced children we have.
We left 3 days before this big boy turned 2!

Great Wolf Adventure!
We went on another adventure to Great Wolf Lodge. This place is SO much fun! We feel like we are going 100's of miles away to an amazing place- and it's so close to us (about an hour and 10 minutes!)
The kids were so excited they were both up WAY too early the day we went.
Emma woke up early and said she felt heavy......and she had a fever!
Crisis! I started pumping her full of all my vitamins and when it was time to go- even though I'm a "let it burn" girl with the fevers I gave her Motrin.
That's right- we took our contagious virus to a water park.
It's okay- you can judge me- I judge myself a little.....
But- with the Motrin she felt well enough to ride and enjoy herself- so she did- for about 24 hours and then she decided she'd had enough.
The boys had an AMAZING time! Scotty LOVED the wave pool and hot tub and climbing and splashing. Andrew climbed the steps to the slides at least 50 times.
We had 2 sets of friends with us this time so Mike and I even got to go on a couple rides together- SO MUCH fun!

After Canyon River Rapids- Andrew's favorite!
On our way up to the top of the place to the rapids!
Pizza BREAK!
After she had had enough.....I know- best parents ever.
Our fun group! Emma and I had already changed (we were leaving). We even had rooms close together so we played games after our kids were asleep- Good laughs!
Daddy and Scott- he is ready to get down and have more fun!
Kids on one of the "great wolfs" outside- they LOVE this place!
5 happy, worn out faces! See you next time, Great Wolf!
